“Working With My Dear Friend Rajkummar Rao Is Always an Incredible Experience” – Huma Qureshi
The makers of Maalik have dropped its captivating dance number Dil Thaam Ke, featuring Huma Qureshi, and the actress can be seen in a completely different avatar. She lights up the screen through her fierce moves and undeniable charm, bringing a whole new flavour to this fiery number. Composed by the musical duo, Sachin-Jigar, Dil Thaam Ke lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, with vocals by Rashmeet Kaur and Rana Majumdar.
Talking about the song, Huma shared, “Having multiple films and shoots going on simultaneously, this was the cherry on the cake for me. Dancing is something I love, so when Jayu spoke to me about it, it was a definitive yes. I thoroughly enjoyed performing on Dil Thaam Ke, and audiences are going to see me in a super massy avatar. On the last day of the shoot, things spilt over, and I ended up shooting for over 16 hours, but it was totally worth it. Working with my dear friend Raj is always an incredible experience, and I can’t wait for audiences to see this one.”
Meanwhile, Filmfare had earlier exclusively reported that Huma shot for the song free of cost. Our source said, “The item number Huma shot is truly one of the highlights of Maalik. The moment she heard the track, she was excited to be a part of it. The song is an upbeat, high-energy number that she connected with. Huma shot this song without charging a single penny, purely out of friendship with the producer Jay Shewakramani and Rajkummar Rao.”
Meanwhile, the teaser of Maalik has created quite the buzz. It shows Rajkummar Rao in a dark avatar and is set in Allahabad in the year 1988. Directed by Pulkit, Maalik is slated to be released in cinemas on July 11.
