Meet the stars and characters of Jurassic World Rebirth: A complete guide
As long as man-made dinosaurs exist, there will always be people trying to profit from them. Jurassic World Rebirth, hitting theatres on July 2, shows that humanity still hasn’t understood the risks of ambition and greed. Directed by Rogue One filmmaker, Gareth Edwards, the film dives back into a world where science continues to push boundaries, no matter the cost. Penned by Jurassic Park and The Lost World screenwriter, David Koepp, Jurassic World Rebirth is set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion.
Scroll down to meet the key characters taking the spotlight in Jurassic World Rebirth.
Zora Bennet (Scarlett Johansson)

Zora Bennet, a highly skilled extraction specialist and ex-special forces operative, is chosen to head a high-stakes mission to retrieve DNA from the massive dinosaurs living on Ile Saint-Hubert. The job comes with a hefty reward, attracting some of the best mercenaries in the business. But even for seasoned pros like them, nothing can truly prepare you for a place where deadly dinosaurs are always just a step away.
Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali)
Duncan, an old ally of Zora’s, lives a laid-back life in Paramaribo, Suriname, spending his days playing cards and sipping Bloody Marys beneath a mounted Plesiosaur. The nautical setting suits him perfectly, as he is the captain of The Essex, a stripped down former military boat. Still mourning a recent loss, Duncan signs on to ferry the mission crew to Ile Saint-Hubert. Along the way, he rediscovers his purpose after coming to the aid of the stranded Delgado family.
Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey)
Dr. Loomis, once a student of the iconic Alan Grant (Sam Neill), is now a museum palaeontologist who specializes in massive dinosaurs. He joins the expedition as the lead scientific advisor, driven by the hope of advancing medical research and experiencing living dinosaurs in an environment that closely resembles their ancient world. But as the journey unfolds and dark, even mutant, discoveries come to light, Loomis gradually becomes the moral compass of the team.
Martin Krebs (Rupert Friend)
Following in the footsteps of Lewis Dodgson, the man who once hired Nedry to steal from Jurassic Park, Martin Krebs represents the shady face of corporate ambition. He works for ParkerGenix, a powerful pharmaceutical company aiming to use dinosaur DNA to develop a cure for heart disease. But beneath his polished exterior lies a mix of greed, fear, and loyalty to his corporate masters and profit above all else. As the real villain of the story, Krebs embodies the central plot of the Jurassic franchise: when science is driven by money, danger is never far behind.
Bobby Atwater (Ed Skrein)
Bobby, the head of security aboard The Essex, is labelled a ‘a very capable man’, according to actor Ed Skrein. But Skrein wanted to add a twist, he thought it’d be amusing if Bobby didn’t look the part. To pull that off, he teamed up with costume designer Sammy Differ to craft a laid-back, unexpected vibe. The look drew inspiration from Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski and Jason Momoa in Aquaman, complete with flip-flops, loose-fitting pants, and a stack of friendship bracelets.
LeClerc (Bechir Sylvain)
“I was a 12-year-old kid growing up in Haiti, who didn’t yet speak English, when I first saw Jurassic Park, and it blew me away,” shares Sylvain, who plays the co-pilot and deckhand aboard The Essex. “To now be part of this world, in a movie written by David Koepp, the original screenwriter, feels like a tremendous honour. Even more thrilling is that David Koepp wrote most of LeClerc’s lines in French, which inspired me to approach our director, Gareth Edwards, with the idea of portraying LeClerc as Haitian. To my surprise, they all embraced the concept, and that was a monumental moment for me.”
Nina (Philippine Velge)
Recruited into service at a young age, Nina is deeply loyal to her co-pilot and deckhand partner, LeClerc. The two share a strong connection, though their work styles couldn’t be more different. “Where Nina will be running up and down the decks and doing whatever she can, LeClerc, although he’s a step above her, is a lot lazier,” says Velge with a laugh. Nina also sports several nautical tattoos, including one of the white whale from Moby Dick, a fitting touch in a story centred around the dangerous pursuit of massive creatures.
Rueben Delgado (Manuel Garcia)
Rueben is just looking to spend some peaceful time at sea with his two daughters and his older daughter’s boyfriend. But their quiet trip takes a terrifying turn when a sudden encounter with a Mosasaur leaves them stranded on Ile Saint-Hubert. Eventually, their path collides with Zora and her team, pulling them into the heart of the unfolding adventure.
Teresa Delgado (Luna Blaise)
Eighteen-year-old Teresa is getting ready to head off to college and isn’t exactly thrilled about spending time on a boat with her dad. She’d much prefer being with her boyfriend, Xavier, than dealing with her father’s clumsy attempt to bond during the trip. “She’s young and innocent in many ways, but when things take a turn, she shows real courage and independence,” says Blaise. “She risks everything to protect the people she cares about, and that inner strength really spoke to me.”
Isabella Delgado (Audrina Miranda)
Isabella, the youngest in the Delgado family at just 11 years old, is full of subtle callbacks to the original 1993 Jurassic Park in her costume design. She wears a bright yellow raincoat which is a playful nod to Dennis Nedry, and a T-shirt featuring a pelican logo with the Spanish phrase “Life finds a way.” True to the franchise’s spirit of wonder, Isabella forms a sweet bond with a small Aquilops, whom she affectionately names Dolore.
Xavier Dobbs (David Iacono)
At first, Teresa’s boyfriend Xavier comes across as your typical teenage tag along—good-looking but not particularly helpful. However, when things start to go south, he surprises everyone by stepping up, eventually earning Rueben’s respect. “It wasn’t hard to immerse myself in the world of the film, thanks to the amazing locations we shot in,” shares Iacono. “From the dense jungles and caves in Thailand to sailing across the Mediterranean, everything felt surreal. It really helped me stay grounded in the characters’ emotions and focus on the relationships and dialogue.”
Last, but not the least – The Dinosaurs (As themselves)
Rebirth brings back several familiar prehistoric predators, including the T. rex, Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, Spinosaurus, Mosasaurus, Carnotaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Compsognathus (aka “Compy”), and Ankylosaurus. But the film also introduces a fresh batch of dinosaurs to the franchise, such as Aquilops, Diabloceratops, Titanosaurus, Anurognathus, and the genetically twisted Mutadon. Topping the list of terrifying newcomers is Distortus Rex—a lab experiment gone wrong, so nightmarish it could shake even Frankenstein to his core.
Jurassic World Rebirth hits theaters on Wednesday, July 2.
