Exclusive: “Felt Like a Friendship Unfolding”- Samreen Kaur on Exploring Mumbai With Jackson Wang

Along with Samreen, Jackson walked the streets of Mumbai and tried paani puri. The actress was also invited to Wang’s private party in Mumbai on Saturday. Describing the singer, Kaur said, “Jackson is genuinely one of the warmest and most grounded people I’ve met. He’s curious, respectful, and has such a great sense of humour. What really stood out was how present he is. He’s not just here for the cameras; he truly wants to understand people and cultures.”
The actress also spoke about the things she explored with Jackson and told us, “We explored a mix of classic and quirky spots, street food, local markets and even some peaceful places for chai and conversations. Our talks ranged from music, his journey and how he’s embracing India’s energy, to our shared love for good food and meaningful storytelling. It felt more like a friendship unfolding; he’s very warm.” She continued, “I introduced him to our spicy street food, pani puri, vada pav, dahi puri and ganne ka ras! He also tried speaking Hindi and did surprisingly well. He tried playing gully cricket and it was a very fun experience.”
So, is a collaboration on cards? Samreen answers, “Let’s just say… we vibed. If something creative aligns again, whether it’s music, performance, or something unexpected, I’d be open. He’s the kind of artist who inspires collaboration that feels fresh and exciting. So I would love to.”
