Housefull 5 box office Day 5: Akshay Kumar’s film maintains fabulous 1st week
Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 5’ is going strong during the weekdays. The film crossed the benchmark of Rs 100 crore nett at the box office after four days, and remained steady on its first Tuesday, collecting around Rs 10.75 crore.
The film’s total of five days stands at around Rs 111.25 crore, which is a good number, promising its long-term potential at the box office. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, ‘Housefull 5’ manages to attract audiences to theatres even during working days, and that’s its real win.

It is expected to emerge as the highest-grossing film of Kumar’s career by the end of its run, beating its own predecessor at the box office. With the lack of competition in theatres, and the strong impression of the franchise, ‘Housefull 5’ should be able to set new benchmarks by the end of its second weekend at the ticket window.
The film is written and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, and features a gamut of stars, including Nana Patekar, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Chitrangda Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Chunkey Pandey, Johny Lever, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan, among others.
