Special Ops 2 Trailer: Kay Kay Menon tackles a new cyber threat
Five years after its release, the much-loved series Special Ops is making a comeback with Season 2. The trailer features Kay Kay Menon, Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, and more from the original cast. The high-octane thriller is set to premiere on JioHotstar on July 11, 2025. The first look has already sparked major buzz online, and fans are eager to see what twists and turns lie ahead this season.

In this new chapter of the spy thriller, Kay Kay Menon returns as the sharp and fearless head of RAW, Himmat Singh, once again leading his trusted team of agents in a high-stakes mission. But this time, the threat isn’t just on the ground — it’s online. With artificial intelligence becoming a growing concern in India, the team is drawn into a battle against cyber-terrorism. As the world’s biggest user of UPI, India now faces a serious risk of a global data breach.
Packed with intense action and sharp dialogues, the trailer shows Himmat pulling his team back together for another undercover mission, this time to take down a digital threat, where no one is safe. One striking line from him stands out: “Now, the country that wins the cyber war will win it all.” What makes the trailer even more gripping is the glimpse of Tahir Raj Bhasin as the villain and Prakash Raj in a mysterious, powerful role.
The action-packed Special Ops franchise began in 2020, followed by a prequel titled Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story in 2021. Now, the story continues with the much-awaited sequel, which is all set to release on JioHotstar on July 11, 2025.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Special Ops 2 features a strong ensemble cast including Kay Kay Menon, Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, Saiyami Kher, Meher Vij, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Prakash Raj. As per reports, parts of the show have been shot in international locations like Budapest, Turkey, and Georgia.
