Rohit Shetty To Team Up With Ajay Devgn For Golmaal 5?
Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty have shared a long and successful journey in Indian cinema, teaming up on films like Zameen, the Golmaal series, Singham, Bol Bachchan, Singham Returns, and more. Their collaboration has spanned over decades and delivered several box office hits, making them one of the most trusted actor-director duos in the industry. According to reports, the two are gearing up for their 14th project together. Their next film is expected to be Golmaal 5, which is being planned for a 2026 release.
Reports suggest that Rohit Shetty is currently filming the Rakesh Maria biopic with John Abraham in Mumbai. The shoot is expected to wrap up by September 2025, and Rohit plans to finish the edit by the end of the year, targeting an early 2026 release. Once the project is complete, Rohit will begin prepping for Golmaal 5, with plans to start filming by February or March 2026. The storyline for the film has already been finalized, and the team has started working on the screenplay.
Reports also say that a new team of writers is currently working on the script for Golmaal 5, which is likely to be finalized by September 2025, apart from the dialogue writing and final touches. The film will bring back Ajay Devgn along with the full gang – Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever, among others. Known as one of the most popular comedy franchises in Indian cinema, Golmaal 5 is expected to hit theatres in the first half of 2027. If this is true, then the fans of this franchise are in for a massive treat with loads of comedy and drama promised in a full-fledged Rohit Shetty film.
Before joining the Golmaal 5 team, Ajay Devgn is expected to wrap up shooting for Ranger. He will be seen next in the comedy – Son of Sardaar 2.
