Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s Legal Battle Heads to Trial in 2026

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal battle is moving toward a trial, with the court setting a date for March 9, 2026, according to Variety. The drama began in December 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour during the making of their film It Ends With Us. She further claims that he retaliated against her by working with a PR team to damage her reputation.

Judge Lewis J. Liman has scheduled an initial hearing for February 3. During this hearing, Lively’s legal team plans to request an order that would prevent Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, from conducting a media campaign related to the case. Lively’s lawyers are also seeking an injunction to protect sensitive case materials from being shared publicly. Additionally, the judge is working to consolidate two related cases.

While the trial date has been set, it could be postponed or cancelled if the two sides reach a settlement before then.
