‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ ‘Emilia Pérez,’ ‘Wicked’ Among ICG Publicists’ Motion Picture Campaign Nominees
The Publicists of the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) have announced the nominees for the Maxwell Weinberg Award for Motion Picture Publicity Campaign.
The nominees are Bad Boys: Ride or Die (Sony Pictures Entertainment), Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (Warner Bros. Pictures), Deadpool & Wolverine(Marvel Studios/Walt Disney Studios), Emilia Pérez (Netflix), Gladiator II (Paramount Pictures), The Strangers: Chapter 1 (Lionsgate) and Wicked(Universal Pictures).
“We’re delighted to celebrate the Local 600 publicists who worked on these outstanding films,” Tim Menke and Sheryl Main, joint chairs of the ICG Publicists Awards committee, said in a news release. “Their tireless creativity shines a light on the year’s best films, ensuring these important stories find their audience.”
Previously announced nominees in the television publicity campaign category include, Agatha All Along (Marvel Television/Walt Disney Studios/Disney+), Bridgerton S3 (Shondalone/Netflix), Elsbeth (CBS Studios/CBS/Paramount), Fallout (Amazon MGM Studios/Amazon Prime Video), Family Guy (20th Television Animation/FOX TV/Hulu) and Matlock (CBS Studios/CBS/Paramount+).
The guild announced its first round of nominees on Nov. 26, 2024. Recipients of the awards will be determined by publicist members of the group via online ballot during the voting period, which runs from Jan. 23-30. Final winners will announced during the ICG Publicist awards luncheon on Feb. 28, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.
