Stories International Inks Partnership with Tokyo Broadcasting System

Stories International, the Los Angeles-based production and marketing outfit, has inked a partnership with the Japanese television network Tokyo Broadcasting System to adapt TBS programming for English-speaking and international audiences.

The nearly 70 year-old TBS is behind the long-running unscripted game show Ninja Warrior which has been adapted for American audiences. Scripted titles include Eye Love You, Tokyo MER and Unnatural.

Under the partnership, Stories will develop, package and produce projects based on TBS IP, eventually choosing 40 projects out of the 100 in the TBS library.

Said Stories International CEO Tomoya Suzuki, “We are honored to join forces with TBS, a trailblazer in Japanese television drama. Our strength in creative development and IP packaging places us in a unique position to adapt these revered Japanese titles for Hollywood and a global audience. We look forward to working with distinguished showrunners and producers to create stories that inspire audiences worldwide.”
