Karisma Kapoor Remembers Her First Filmfare Win With a Heartfelt Throwback

The latest edition of the Filmfare Awards is just around the corner, making this the perfect time to look back at the legacy of the Black Lady. Ahead of the 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 with Gujarat Tourism, Karisma Kapoor revisited a special moment from the 42nd Filmfare Awards, where she won her very first trophy. Filmfare shared a throwback from the ceremony, showing the actress receiving the award from Dimple Kapadia.

Reposting the photo, Karisma wrote, “Received my first Filmfare Award from my most favourite Dimple aunty #BeautifulMemories” Karisma won the Best Actress award for her performance in Raja Hindustani.

The star-studded 42nd Filmfare Awards also saw Dharmendra honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Shah Rukh Khan, Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshaye Khanna were also present during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 with Gujarat Tourism will be held on October 11, 2025, at EKA Arena, Kankaria Lake, Ahmedabad. As it is the 70th year, stars and audiences will also celebrate seven decades of Filmfare’s legacy in Indian cinema. Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Maniesh Paul will host the grand night.  

The nominations for this year were announced recently. Stree 2, Kill, Laapataa Ladies, I Want to Talk, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are some of the top contenders. Fans can now look forward to a seamless ticketing experience with District.
