‘Loot’ Duo Molly and Arthur Finally Act on Their Feelings in Season 3 Trailer
The season two finale of Loot ended with Maya Rudolph‘s Molly Novack devastated after she confessed her feelings to Arthur (Nat Faxon) and the two shared a passionate kiss on his doorstep — only for it to be interrupted by his girlfriend asking, “What’s going on?” In the season ender, Rudolph’s billionaire was next seen boarding her private jet, asking her assistant Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster) to “get me out of here.”
But now, in the trailer for the Apple TV+ comedy’s third season, it looks like Molly still lands in Arthur’s arms, eventually.
What that journey will look like isn’t immediately clear from the 2:15-minute video (below), but it will indeed be a journey — as the trailer shows that Molly’s plane crashes and she and Nick find themselves stranded on a deserted island without the slightest clue as to how to find help, as demonstrated by their hilarious decision to use rocks to form the words “uh oh” in the sand instead of “S.O.S.”
The scene underscores Molly’s still out-of-touch persona, despite her decision to give away all of the $87 billion wealth she acquired in her divorce from tech titan John Novack, played by Adam Scott, who will make a return appearance this season, with a scene showing Molly introducing Nat, who’s gotten a much-needed makeover from Nicholas and his friends, to her ex-husband.
