Sunita Ahuja denies divorce rumours with Govinda
Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have recently been amidst media attention due to speculations regarding their marriage. During the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, the couple made their first public appearance together as they welcomed Ganpati Bappa into their home. While speaking to the media, Sunita addressed the circulating rumours and mentioned that their relationship is strong, saying that nothing can come between them.
As reported by HT, Sunita was quoted as saying when she spoke to the media, “Aaj itna close, close… agar kuch hota toh hum itne nazdeek hotey? Humaari dooriyan hoti! Koi hum dono ko alag nahi kar sakta hain, chahe upar se koi aa jaaye bhagwan aa jaaye, koi shaitaan aa jaaye. Koi nahi alag kar sakta hai. (If something had happened, would we be so close today? There would have been distance between us. No one can separate us, not even if God or a devil comes down.)”

She added, “Ek picture tha na Mera Pati Sirf Mera Hai, waise hi mera Govinda sirf mera hi hai aur kisi ka nahi hai. Jab tak hum moonh na khole tab tak aap log please koi bhi cheez mein na boliye. (My Govinda is only mine and no one else’s. Until we speak up, please don’t say anything on this matter).”
According to a report from Hauterfly earlier this month, it was claimed that Sunita Ahuja had filed for divorce from Govinda, under Section 13 (1)(i), (ia), (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. The report further alleged that the court had issued a summons to Govinda on May 25th, and that the couple had been attempting to work things out since June. It was also mentioned that Sunita reportedly attended court hearings, whereas Govinda was said to have been absent.

In her recent vlog, Sunita Ahuja also discussed the rumours about her divorce. During a visit to a temple, she mentioned to the priest that she had been visiting Mahalaxmi Mandir since she was a child.
Breaking down in tears, she said, “When I met Govinda, I prayed to the Goddess that I should get married to him and have a good life. The Goddess fulfilled all my wishes, she even blessed me with two children. But not every truth in life is easy; there are always ups and downs. Still, I have so much faith in the Goddess that whatever I am witnessing today, I know that whoever tries to break my home, Maa Kaali is there.”
