Gustaakh Ishq teaser: Manish Malhotra brings old-school romance with Vijay-Fatima

Fashion designer Manish Malhotra on Monday shared the teaser of his debut production – ‘Gustaakh Ishq’. The film explores an old-school love story and is headlined by Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sharib Hashmi.

The first-look teaser of the film hints at a period love story, featuring Vijay and Fatima head-over-heels in love with each other. The music of the film is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, who’s known for bringing a certain old world charm to his creations. The lyrics are penned by Gulzar, which further makes ‘Gustaakh Ishq’ a perfect recipe for a love story from the golden era.

The teaser hints at golden-tinted visuals throughout the film, with Shah playing the villain (or a grey character) in Vijay and Fatima’s love story. More about the narrative is yet to be revealed, including a glimpse of Hashmi.

The film was earlier titled ‘Ul Jalool Ishq’. The new title now explores a poetic undertone which is also visible in the teaser.

‘Gustaakh Ishq – Kucch Pehle Jaisa’ is slated to hit the screens in November this year. Malhotra has produced the film with his brother, Dinesh Malhotra, under his company Stage5 Production.
