Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri’s Thriller With Vishal Bhardwaj Nears Completion

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj has been currently occupied with his upcoming film featuring Shahid Kapoor since the beginning of this year, and it seems the project is nearing its conclusion. Reportedly, Vishal started the final schedule of the action thriller, tentatively named Romeo, in Spain, last week. This ten-day shoot will involve a big action sequence and a dance number, after which the film is expected to be completed. The movie also features Triptii Dimri playing the female lead.

According to a Mid-day report, the team recently filmed an elaborate action sequence in Malaga over the past few days. The report mentioned, “The action scene, shot with Shahid and several stunt artistes, makes use of Spain’s rugged terrain. The song, on the other hand, is vibrant and features the lead pair. The actors will begin filming the dance number on Friday with a large ensemble. This schedule will end on August 25, after which Vishal sir will dive into the film’s post-production. The VFX and initial post-production work have already begun in Mumbai.” 

Slated for release on December 5, the upcoming action thriller marks the fourth collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj. The actor-director pair has previously created memorable films together, including Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon. This new venture, reportedly titled Romeo, is said to be a high-energy thriller that blends Vishal’s distinctive storytelling with Shahid’s on-screen intensity, generating buzz among their fans.

Shahid Kapoor has several exciting projects in development. He will be returning for Farzi Season 2, the crime thriller series on Amazon Prime Video, where he will reprise his much-loved role. Apart from this, Shahid will also appear in Cocktail 2, the romantic comedy sequel that features him with Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Homi Adjania, the movie serves as a sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail. Meanwhile, Triptii Dimri was last seen playing the character of Vidhi in Dhadak 2, directed by Shazia Iqbal.
