Maddock Films Join Hands With an OTT Platform for Global Release of Future Projects

The agreement further strengthens Maddock’s much-loved horror comedy universe. Thama is one of the highlights of this line-up, and two additional unannounced films from the same universe are also being developed. Maddock’s horror comedy brand has been a crowd favourite, with films like Stree 2 already streaming on Prime Video. The slate also includes Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Agastya Nanda.
Dinesh Vijan, founder and CEO of Maddock Films, said the collaboration is built on a shared vision for Indian cinema. “We’ve always believed in telling stories that surprise, entertain, and resonate—and in working with partners who share that belief. Prime Video has consistently championed cinema that transcends languages, geographies, and formats. From our horror-comedy universe to our most beloved franchises, our endeavour has always been to create worlds that audiences love to revisit,” he said.

Echoing his thoughts, Manish Menghani, director and head of content licensing at Prime Video India, described the slate as both expansive and innovative. “This multi-film slate not only builds on the unique and wildly popular horror-comedy universe and franchise sequels but also brings in a distinctive blend of creative originality and fresh storytelling that is synonymous with Maddock,” he said, while emphasising the platform’s focus on taking Indian stories to global audiences.
