Insiders Reveal Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Faces No Budget Cuts As Crew Mishap in Leh Sparks Concern

The upcoming film Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh, recently made headlines after it was reported that some crew members experienced health issues in Leh, reportedly due to food poisoning. However, an official response has been provided by a member of the film’s team to clarify the situation.

According to an exclusive update shared with Pinkvilla, a source has said that crew members experienced illness from a widespread chicken contamination issue in Leh. The source further clarified that this matter was entirely unrelated to any food or facilities provided by the film’s production.

The source said, “This is one of the biggest films in production right now. Why would there be any need for cost-cutting at all? Leh is an incredibly difficult terrain to shoot. This is a unit of over 300 people. There was a local contamination issue that led to this. It is horrible that such ridiculous rumours are floating.” The insiders also mentioned, “Health, hygiene, and crew safety have consistently been treated as top priorities. Additional precautions and stricter supplier checks are now in place, even as the unit has resumed work.” The film is currently in the concluding stage of its production, with just a few weeks of filming remaining in Leh. Upon completion, the production team expects returning to Mumbai by mid-September. 

The upcoming spy action thriller, Dhurandhar, features Ranveer Singh in the leading role. The film also consists of an impressive star cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun, among others. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie is reportedly inspired by actual events connected to Indian Intelligence. It follows the story of a man assigned with a covert mission, closely based on historical occurrences.

The film is expected to have thrilling action sequences, combined with themes of patriotism and Shakespearean betrayals, as seen in the teaser. Currently in production, Dhurandhar is slated for a theatrical release on December 5, 2025.
