Bipasha Basu Reminisces Old Memories, Revisits Moments With Cristiano Ronaldo

Bipasha Basu has currently been in the news for Mrunal Thakur’s comments about her body in one of the Son of Sardaar 2 actress’ previous interviews. In the interview clip, Mrunal is seemingly calling herself ‘far better than Bipasha’, in the context of the latter’s ‘manly muscles.’ Bipasha also reacted to the same, as many think that her social media story about ‘getting those muscles’ is an indirect jibe at Mrunal.

Bipasha’s post read, “Strong women lift each other up. Get those muscles, beautiful ladies… we should be strong… muscles help you attain good physical and mental health forever! Bust the age-old thought process that women should not look strong or be physically strong!”

Now, Bipasha has shared another social media story, in which she is recalling an iconic moment with her alleged ex-flame Cristiano Ronaldo. She shared a throwback clip with Ronaldo from a fan page. The same is from the New Seven Wonders of the World ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal in 2007. The in-video caption read, “That iconic stage moment: Bipasha Basu with Ronaldo.”

To add more context, fans from that time remember photos and videos of Ronaldo and Bipasha from the event and after-party. While they had never publicly confirmed a romance, photos from the after-party had showed them laughing and chatting comfortably with each other. Not only that, one photo of Ronaldo allegedly kissing Bipasha had gone viral and made fans curious about their relationship status.

But during an interview on Aap Ki Adalat, Bipasha had clarified that they were friends and nothing more. She had noted that the photos may seem romantic, but that was far from the truth. “He is very tall and there was too much noise and every time he had to talk, he had to bend down and talk to me,” she had added.

Bipasha also said, “Meeting him was a dream come true. After the event, we went out clubbing, and that was simply fantastic. He is so cute, and it was strange when he called me cute … He is a friend now, and he has promised me that I will be invited for all his matches.”

Interestingly, Bipasha’s social media story about Ronaldo comes after the football star’s engagement announcement with Georgina Rodriguez. The duo got engaged after eight years of dating. Ronaldo and Rodriguez have four children together. They have twins Eva Maria and Mateo. They were born in 2017 via surrogacy. Their daughter Alana was born in 2017 and Bella was born in 2022. Bella’s twin, Angel, tragically passed away in 2022 itself. Cristiano’s oldest son from another partnership, Cristiano Jr., is also a part of the extended family.

They made their relationship public in 2016 and made their first public appearance at the Best FIFA Football Awards in January 2017.
