John Abraham Shares The Secret to Keeping His Marriage With Priya Runchal Away From Controversies

John Abraham has always maintained privacy regarding his personal life. Married to Priya Runchal since 2014, their low-key and controversy-free relationship distinguishes itself within an industry that frequently experiences controversies. John recently shared his thoughts into the deliberate decisions he and his spouse have made to protect their privacy, and how their mutual values have contributed to the strength and stability of their relationship.

John Abraham recently shared with India Today that he has always maintained a clear distance between his personal life and his film career. He mentioned that without the involvement of agents or publicists generating narratives, he chooses to step away from the public eye and concentrate on his private life once his film projects are completed. He further said that he speaks only when necessary, preferring to maintain a low profile outside of his professional work.

John shared that his decision to keep his personal life private is a conscious one, as he believes it is separate from his film work. He has never appointed a publicist or agent to create stories about him, so after his films are finished, he avoids the media and only speaks when he has something important to communicate.

He also mentioned that during breaks between films, he dedicates himself to his personal life, spending considerable time at his football academy in Shillong and working on scripts. His wife, Priya, also leads a private life, which complements his preference for a low-profile lifestyle.

John further revealed that even before his marriage, he avoided parties because he did not enjoy loud music and alcohol. He also shared that he has personal reservations about alcohol, stemming from his father’s fondness for single malt whiskey. Additionally, John follows a disciplined routine, going to bed early and waking up between 4 and 4:30 am to read, primarily focusing on world news.

His next project is Tehran, an action-thriller film directed by Arun Gopalan, co-starring Neeru Bajwa and Manushi Chhillar, which is scheduled to be released on August 15 on Zee5.
