R Madhavan Recalls Intense Conversation With Anushka Sharma About Virat Kohli & Cristiano Ronaldo

R Madhavan recalls the time he was tricked by an AI video and had a conversation with Anushka Sharma about it. In the video, Cristiano Rolando was seemingly praising Virat Kohli. Madhavan sent it to Anushka, convinced that the same is real. However, Anushka realised that the clip was AI-generated and warned Madhavan of deepfakes.

During a conversation with Zee TV, Madhavan said, “Yeah, in fact, one of the Reels that I saw had somebody praising Virat Kohli to high heavens. In fact, I think it was Ronaldo…how much he enjoyed watching Kohli bat and how much of a legend he thought he was. And I proudly forwarded that, I put it on Instagram and then I got a message from Anushka saying bhai, it’s a fraud, it’s AI.”

Madhavan noted that he was embarrassed to have shared an AI-generated video. However, the actor opened up on the importance of understanding the difference between AI-generated and original videos. He added, “It’s really embarrassing, like, oh! So even somebody like me who is pretty aware was completely taken away. And then, when she told me the flaws, I realised, arey haan, yeh to bada gadbad hain (yes, this is an issue). Fans have been admiring the conversation between Anushka and Madhavan regarding AI as many believe that awareness is much needed to curb the growth of deepfake videos. Many a time, stars have been subject to dangerous deepfake videos, which have received immense negative attention on social media. Many have raised their voices against these AI-generated clips that ruin their reputation.

On the professional front, Madhavan was last seen in Aap Jaisa Koi. Anushka Sharma hasn’t announced any project yet. However, there have been reports that her movie Chakda Xpress has been shelved.
