Kartik Aaryan to Play Air Force Pilot in Shimit Amin’s Captain India

After the huge success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik Aaryan seems to be selecting a variety of projects across different genres and collaborating with top directors. Kartik is currently involved in two films: Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Sameer Vidhwans, and an untitled love story directed by Anurag Basu, both slated for theatrical release in 2026. After completion of these projects, Kartik will proceed to work on Nagzilla, a unique comedy directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.

As per a report of Pinkvilla, Kartik Aaryan has included another big project to his growing list, which will be a first-time collaboration with acclaimed director Shimit Amin, known for his work on Ab Tak Chappan, Chak De! India, and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. According to a source close to the development, “Kartik Aaryan and Shimit Amin have been in conversations for over a year, bouncing around multiple ideas for a potential collaboration. That’s when Kartik introduced Shimit to the world of Captain India, and the filmmaker found it to be a fascinating story.” 

The source added, “Shimit Amin has already locked a crisp, engaging screenplay for Captain India and is set to roll cameras with Kartik in the first half of 2026. When Shimit narrated the story, Kartik was immediately hooked. The plan is to shoot extensively in India and Morocco, in fact, the location recce in Morocco has already been completed.” 

Inspired by a true story, Captain India will feature Kartik Aaryan playing an Air Force pilot, marking one of his most intense and patriotic roles to date. The production team is aiming for a shooting schedule between March and July 2026, with a theatrical release planned for the first half of 2027.

With projects such as Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, the untitled Anurag Basu romance, Nagzilla, and now Captain India, Kartik’s filmography is becoming quite diverse and varied which has made his fans quite excited.
