Aamir Khan Shuts Down Rumours of His Production House Distributing Rajinikanth’s Coolie
Aamir Khan and his production house Aamir Khan Productions recently shut down rumours of being involved in distributing Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movie Coolie. The actor’s team clarified that he is only making a cameo due to the bond he shares with the duo. While speaking about it, they also shared that they are excited about Sitaare Zameen Par’s success and remain “overjoyed with the response it has received.”
Spokesperson of Aamir Khan Productions clarified, “Neither Aamir Khan, nor anyone from his team is involved in the distribution of Coolie. Mr Khan has not made any calls to any exhibitor or distributor. His cameo in the film is purely a gesture of his bond with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth. Everyone at AKP, especially Aamir Khan, is thrilled with the success of Sitaare Zameen Par’s YouTube release and is overjoyed with the response it has received.”
Interestingly, Aamir Khan recently hosted a private screening for the cast and crew of the movie. Nagarjuna Akkineni, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, alongside Coolie producer Kalanithi Maran, composer Anirudh Ravichander, and actor Shruti Haasan were clicked at the screening. Aamir Khan Productions shared the clicks with the caption, “You say movie night, and your gang pulls up.”
Coolie to release on August 14, 2025. The film has reportedly been made on a massive budget of Rs 375 crores.
