Suniel Shetty Reveals Ahan Shetty Was Sidelined After Signing Border 2

When asked how such a thing could happen despite Ahan being his son, Suniel responded honestly, saying, “Maybe mujhse galti hui hogi, mujhse naaraaz honge… and they want to take it out on somebody else.” Still, he stayed firm in his belief that everything happens for a reason. “You can’t change destiny,” he said. He also shared that Ahan has earned real friendships along the way. “He got friends like Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. They love him like a younger brother.”
Opening up about whether he ever feels the need to shield Ahan from the darker sides of the industry, Suniel said, “In any profession, you will have to do hard work. There are no shortcuts.” Talking about Ahan’s debut film, he added, “The film did business of ₹35-40 crores and had an opening of ₹4-5 crore even during the pandemic.” Looking ahead, he shared his hopes for the upcoming release. “Fingers crossed, I hope Border 2 crosses ₹500 crore, and I pray Ahan is also appreciated along with Sunny Deol, Varun, and Diljit.”

Suniel also praised the success of Saiyaara, which marked the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. “It is unbelievable. There is no substitute to hard work, and that is Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s story,” he said. Calling it a promising sign for the industry, he added, “Maybe this is the turning point where producers might think that youngsters should get more opportunities.”
