On the continued success of Saiyaara at the box office and its positive reception, particularly among Gen Z, Aamir Khan has shared his perspective on the reasons behind the film’s strong connection with younger audiences. During a recent press conference where he announced that Sitaare Zameen Par will be available on YouTube from August 1 for Rs 100 in India, he also expressed his admiration for Saiyaara’s emotional narrative and vibrant energy, attributing its huge success to a generational shift in both taste and content preferences.

He mentioned that various age groups are attracted to different content, and it is quite evident that Saiyaara has resonated well with younger viewers. Aamir highlighted that each generation possesses its own preferences, and as a creative professional, he tries to explore different narratives that cater to audiences of all backgrounds. Aamir also expressed his aspiration to create films that appeal to a broad spectrum of viewers. He mentioned his desire to produce content not only for Gen Z and the younger generation but also for a variety of age groups and interests. He added that exploring diverse themes provides him with the creative freedom to connect with different segments of viewers.

Aamir Khan’s remarks came after a celebratory message from his production house, which acknowledged the success of Saiyaara at the box office. The statement praised debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda for their intense and emotionally impactful performances, while also praising director Mohit Suri for adding onto the film with his signature style of storytelling. Their statement also acknowledged YRF for supporting a story that mixed a good soundtrack with a fresh pairing, evidently connecting well with the audience, especially the Gen Z.
