Farhan Akhtar Shoots in Minus 10 Degrees in Ladakh for 120 Bahadur
Farhan Akhtar is all set to bring a powerful war story to life in his upcoming film 120 Bahadur, which was shot in the harsh terrain of Ladakh. The cast and crew filmed at an altitude of nearly 14,000 feet, where the freezing temperatures made the shoot especially challenging. An industry source revealed, “The team shot at around 14,000 feet in Ladakh, and temperatures often dipped to minus 5, even minus 10 degrees on some days.” The source added, “The aim was to honour the story with honesty, and Farhan really went all in physically, mentally, emotionally.”

The film is based on the incredible story of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, and the fearless soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment. It highlights the events of the Battle of Rezang La in 1962, where 120 Indian soldiers stood firm against a much larger Chinese force. Their unmatched bravery and sacrifice during the Indo-Sino war defended Ladakh and etched their names into military history.
To play Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, Farhan Akhtar went through intense preparations that included military-style training and adjusting to the high altitude. Directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai, the film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment, and Amit Chandrra from Trigger Happy Studios. Every aspect of the production has been designed to capture the courage and emotional strength of those soldiers.
