In a gesture that’s winning hearts, Bollywood actorSanjay Dutt recently confirmed that he returned a massive Rs 72 crore inheritance left to him by a fan back in 2018. In a recent interview, the Munna Bhai star was asked about reports that a terminally ill woman had bequeathed her entire property to him. Dutt confirmed the story, simply saying, “I gave it back to her family.”
The fan in question, Nisha Patil, was a 62-year-old homemaker from Mumbai who had reportedly followed Dutt’s career closely. Battling a terminal illness, she made headlines in 2018 when it was revealed that she had left all her assets, including property worth Rs 72 crore, to the actor. Nisha had also informed her bank in writing about her wish to pass on her entire estate to Sanjay Dutt after her death. The unexpected act had left Dutt surprised. However, choosing empathy and respect over wealth, he returned the full inheritance to her legal family.
