Box Office Report: Will Saiyaara Enter The Rs 300 Crore Club ?

It’s rare to see a debut film perform this consistently, especially when both leads are completely new. But Saiyaara has struck a genuine emotional chord with the audience. The film’s music is everywhere, the storyline is simple yet heartfelt, and people are clearly connecting with the love story of a singer and a lyricist finding their way through love, pain, and ambition. Despite other releases hitting theatres, this one hasn’t slowed down, in fact, it’s only grown stronger over the second weekend.
What’s even more impressive is that Saiyaara has now gone past the domestic lifetime total of Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express. That film had made Rs 227 crore back in 2013 and was considered one of SRK’s biggest romantic blockbusters. For two newcomers to cross that figure in their very first film says a lot about the kind of buzz and love Saiyaara has generated.

Ahaan Panday took to Instagram to thank the audience and wrote, “One week of Saiyaara, thank you for the love.” His post, though simple, reflects the gratitude the team must be feeling right now. From a debut release to one of the biggest box office successes of the year, Saiyaara’s journey has been nothing short of magical.
