Reports: Kareena Kapoor Khan to Star Opposite a GenZ Actor ?
Kareena Kapoor Khan has consistently grabbed attention with her confident attitude and bold decisions, both in her professional and personal life. She is reportedly preparing to work on a new project, potentially co-starring with an actor in his 20s, further demonstrating her independent spirit and willingness to forge her own path.
It is reported that Kareena is set to appear in her upcoming film alongside a much younger male actor. The report says, “This quirky story featuring Kareena as a ghost has a refreshing script and will carve out a new space in the ghost genre. It’s a fun, genre-bending take, and Kareena is perfect for it.”
The film is reportedly written by Hussain Dalal, known for collaborating with Ayan Mukerji in Brahmastra, and Kareena Kapoor Khan will romance a younger actor, said to be in his early 20s, though this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
The age-gap debate is resurfacing with Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar, where he’s paired with 18-year-old Sara Arjun, which has given way for discussions about significant age differences in Bollywood pairings, a topic previously discussed with other actors like Salman Khan,Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn.
Although the project has attracted significant interest, these reports remain unverified. Neither Kareena Kapoor Khan nor the filmmakers have yet released an official statement. Although, speculations keep doing the rounds regarding this unconventional film and its interesting casting decisions.
Kareena Kapoor Khan last featured in Singham Again. Also, apart from this ghost film, Kareena is also preparing for Daayra, her upcoming collaboration with director Meghna Gulzar. Known for critically acclaimed projects such as Raazi and Talvar, this crime-drama thriller is also on the cards for Kareena.
The film, currently in pre-production, will deal with the realities of crime, punishment, and justice. Co-written by Yash and Sima alongside Meghna Gulzar, Daayra will show Kareena in an intense role oppositePrithviraj Sukumaran. This project follows Meghna’s 2023 film, Sam Bahadur, and reportedly consists of a socially relevant story.
