The 2025 Emmy nominations have been unveiled, and there are 35 first-time acting nominees, including Harrison Ford, Aimee Lou Wood, Cooper Koch, Kristen Bell and Colin Farrell.

Adolescence’s Owen Cooper landed a historic nod for best supporting actor in a limited/anthology series or TV movie, making him the youngest nominee in the category’s history. Plus, if Cooper wins the award later this year, he will become the youngest male winner of an acting Emmy ever.

Ashley Walters, Cooper’s Adolescence co-star, also picked up his first Emmy nom in the same category. With 13 total nominations for the Netflix show, Stephen Graham was nominated for best actor in a limited or anthology series or movie, while Erin Doherty and Christine Tremarco both garnered noms for best supporting actress in a limited or anthology series or movie.

Ford grabbed his first Emmy nom Tuesday for his portrayal of therapist Dr. Paul Rhoades in Apple TV+’s Shrinking. He was nominated alongside his co-star, Michael Urie, in the best supporting comedy actor category.

Tied with The Studio, The White Lotus was the third most-nominated title with 23 nods, including Wood’s first nomination for her role as Chelsea in the best supporting drama actress category. Alongside Wood, The White Lotus cast’s first-time nominees include Scott Glenn (for guest actor in a drama series) and Jason Isaacs (for supporting actor in a drama).

Four out of five of the nominations for best supporting actor in a limited or anthology series or movie were also first-time nominees: Farrell (The Penguin), Graham (Adolescence), Jake Gyllenhaal (Presumed Innocent) and Koch (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story).

Koch earned a nod for his portrayal of Erik Menendez in Netflix’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. The Ryan Murphy series, based around the Menendez brothers’ real-life case, landed four nominations in total, including Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny’s first noms for their portrayals of José and Kitty Menendez.

Martin Scorsese and Ron Howard, too, notably earned their first acting Emmy nominations for their stints in The Studio. Anthony Mackie and Zoë Kravitz were also recognized for their work in the Apple TV+ series for best guest comedy actor and actress, respectively. Ike Barinholtz also earned his first acting nom for best supporting actor in a comedy for his role as Sal Saperstein.

Nobody Wants This stars Bell and Adam Brody, too, were first-time nominees. The Netflix comedy was also recognized in the best comedy series. Robby Hoffman earned her first Emmy nomination for her work in Hacks in the best guest actress in a comedy category.

Half of the nominees in the best supporting drama actor were first-time nominees. Alongside Isaacs, Zach Cherry and Tramell Tillman each earned a nomination for their roles as Dylan George and Seth Milchick, respectively, in Severance

Severance led the Emmy nominees list with a total of 27 noms, including best drama series. For her portrayal as Helly R in the Apple TV+ series, Britt Lower scored her first nod for best drama actress. Following Severance with the most nominations was The Penguin, with a total of 24 noms, including Cristin Milioti’s first acting nom in the best actress in a limited or anthology series and Deirdre O’Connell’s nod for best supporting actress in a limited or anthology series.

The Pitt, with a total of 13 overall nods, had two first-time acting nominees, with Katherine LaNasa for best supporting actress in a drama series and Shawn Hatosy as guest actor in a drama.

All of the nominees for best supporting actress in a limited or anthology series or TV movie were first-time nominees. Alongside Doherty, O’Connell, Sevigny and Tremarco, Dying for Sex’s Jenny Slate and Presumed Innocent’s Ruth Negga acquired their first acting Emmy nominations on Tuesday.
