Dhadak 2 trailer: Siddhant, Triptii battle caste and conflict in important film
The trailer for Dhadak 2 is finally out, unveiling a powerful and emotionally intense love story featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. Helmed by debutante Shazia Iqbal, the film sets out to be a bold and timely portrayal of love that challenges the boundaries of identity and power.
The gripping trailer offers a glimpse into the intense love story between two law students deeply in love. However, life puts their relationship to the test with a series of hurdles threatening to tear them apart. Siddhant’s character faces multiple challenges both in college and beyond, but rises to confront them head-on with resilience and determination.

The film draws inspiration from the 2018 Tamil movie ‘Pariyerum Perumal’, which tells the story of a lower-caste law student who forms a friendship with a classmate from an upper caste. However, this bond invites turmoil, as the girl’s family begins to torment him. Dhadak 2 is expected to follow a similar narrative.
The film, which explores themes of caste and social discrimination, was originally slated for release in November 2024 but was pushed to March 2025 due to certification-related delays. It is now finally set to release on August 1.
