Reports: Priyanka Chopra Jonas to play a crucial role in Krrish 4 ?

It is being reported that the filming of Hrithik Roshan’s much-awaited directorial debut, Krrish 4, is scheduled to start early next year. Hrithik Roshan is expected to take over the directorial role from his father, Rakesh Roshan, who originally created the much-loved franchise.

As Hrithik will reprise his role as the superhero while also directing the film, there has been speculation regarding the female lead. It is being said in certain reports that the film may feature the reunion of Rekha, Preity Zinta, and Priyanka Chopra, who previously appeared in the prequels.

Sources say, “Priyanka Chopra will return to Krrish 4, but there will be another actress as well, whose name cannot be divulged as of now. There is a possibility of Rekha being seen in a cameo, but Preity Zinta’s presence is sheer speculation and not true.” 

The narrative of Krrish 4 will advance to several decades, considering that it will be released fifteen years following Krrish 3, which released in 2013. Rakesh Roshan said, “Now is the right time for Hrithik to move ahead and take Krrish forward. Krrish is ingrained in Hrithik, and his vision is of today’s generation. I could not entrust the franchise to a more able creative mind, other than him.”  

Following the buzz around War 2, Krrish 4 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated upcoming films of Hrithik Roshan. The film is reported to delve into the concept of time travel, offering a fresh perspective on the superhero genre and presenting an idea that has yet to be largely explored within mainstream Bollywood cinema.

The pre-production phase for Krrish 4 is currently happening at YRF Studios, with a specialized VFX team working on the film’s pre-visualisation. Hrithik Roshan is actively involved in the process, collaborating with his writers and Aditya Chopra to refine the script. The start of filming is expected to be in early 2026.
