Ramayana 1st look: Fans praise Ranbir Kapoor, background score gives goosebumps
The wait is finally over! The first glimpse of Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated film ‘Ramayana’ is out and fans just cannot curtail their excitement. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Ravi Dubey in key roles, the film promises to be grand and a visual spectacle.
With the film’s first glimpse receiving love from all quarters, fans shared their takeaways from the video. While some praised Kapoor’s glimpse, others were in awe of the background music.
One of the X users shared his take on the teaser and wrote, “Greatest Movie by the Greatest Actor of the Greatest Epic #Ramayana. Mark my words, This will be the first Bollywood movie to cross 10,000 crores (sic),” while another wrote, “Ranbir Kapoor as Shree Ram. The hype is real (sic).” A third user echoed similar sentiments and wrote, “Ranbir Kapoor coming to rule the Global Cinema with Ramayana (sic).” Another user gave a shout-out to the background music and wrote, “Hans Zimmer is a magician, What a background score !! GOOSEBUMPS (sic).”
The launch was celebrated with multiple screenings across nine Indian cities, along with a major presence at New York’s Times Square – underscoring the project’s global vision. The film delves into the eternal clash between Rama and Ravana, aiming to captivate audiences worldwide with its scale, storytelling, and spectacle.
Set in a mythological era governed by the cosmic trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, the narrative follows Ravana – once an unlikely demon child – who rises to threaten universal balance. To restore harmony, Vishnu descends to Earth as Rama, setting the stage for an epic confrontation.
Produced by Namit Malhotra and co-produced by Yash, the film is backed by Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Creations, in collaboration with DNEG – the eight-time Oscar-winning VFX powerhouse. Part 1 is set for a global release during Diwali 2026, with Part 2 following in Diwali 2027.
