Pics: Rupali Ganguly celebrates brother’s work in Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par

Rupali Ganguly shared her excitement about the film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, highlighting her brother Vijay Ganguly’s contributions as a choreographer. She shared photos with her brother, Aamir Khan and the film’s actors.

“Sitaare Zameen Par a film with a heart,” she captioned, expressing her connection to the project.

The film holds a special place for Rupali, primarily because it features Vijay, who has transitioned from his early work in ‘Taare Zameen Par’ to earning solo credits in this project with Aamir Khan. “A film special to me for many reasons,” she wrote.

Rupali expressed immense pride in Vijay’s journey. “This marks a journey for my super-gifted sibling my Pappas favourite child @vijayganguly .from a beginning with ‘Bum Bum Bole’ in Taare Zameen Par, to this film with Aamir Sir where he has solo credits as a choreographer I feel so proud when I see your name on screen,” she shared, reflecting on Vijay’s growth.

She acknowledged the film’s significance for Vijay, noting his ability to draw from experience working with specially abled children. “I know how special this film is to you because you could revisit training of 15 years of training specially abled children,” Rupali mentioned, highlighting his expertise.

The choreography in ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ was praised for its integration with the film’s narrative. Rupali commented, “The beauty of your choreography here is that it blends in so beautifully with the narrative and when it has to stand out it does that too fantastically.” This underlines the skill and creativity that Vijay brings to his work.

Rupali also expressed gratitude for being part of the film’s journey. “Also big thank u for inviting me to your set where I met fabulous people like Prasanna Sir and Aamir Sir and along with my sweetheart Rishi (sic),” she added, appreciating the supportive environment on set.

In a touching tribute, she acknowledged her long-time friend and dancing partner, Rishi, and praised the team behind the film. “@rishi.shahani.24 my dancing partner in SDIPA with Vijay himself as our teacher. A friend for more than 25 years I proud of you that you got to make your debut with this beautiful story,” she said, while also commending the writer @divynidhisharma and director RS Prasanna.

Directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ was released in theatres on June 20. The film is seen as a landmark project for its heartfelt storytelling and creative choreography, marking a milestone in Vijay Ganguly’s career.
