Paresh Rawal CONFIRMS His Return to Hera Pheri 3 After His Exit Sparked Controversy
When Paresh Rawal said that he has exited Hera Pheri 3, it came as a shock to many. His exit meant the comical trio of Shyam (Suniel Shetty), Raju (Akshay Kumar) and Baburao (Rawal) would remain incomplete. However, in a recent interview, the actor said that he will be seen in the third instalment of the franchise.

When he was asked about the controversy that followed his exit, the actor stated, “Nahi controversy kuch nahi hai (There’s no controversy). I believe that when people have loved something so much, then you have to be extra careful. It is our responsibility toward the audience. The audience has given you so much adulation. You can’t take things for granted. Mehnat karke unko do (Work hard and give them the film). So I was of the opinion that sab saath mein aaye, mehnat karein. Aur kuch nahin (Everyone should come together, work hard). It is all resolved now.”

Paresh Rawal was also asked about whether fans would see the trio together once again in the Priyadarshan film and he replied, “Pehle bhi aane hi waali thi (Earlier too, the film was scheduled to release), but it’s just that we had to fine-tune ourselves (laughs). After all, all of them are creative, be it Priyadarshan, Akshay or Suniel. They are friends for many, many, many years.”
After Paresh Rawal exited the film, Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films issued a legal notice to the actor. It was reported that Rawal accepted a signing fee of Rs 11 lakh after formalising his involvement in Hera Pheri 3 through a term sheet dated March 27, 2025. The production house had contended back then that Rawal actively participated in the teaser shoot on April 3, engaged in creative discussions, and shot over three minutes of footage alongside Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty.
However, Paresh Rawal pushed back against the allegations and clarified that his decision to exit was personal and not rooted in creative disputes.
