Ibrahim Ali Khan, Rasha Thadani begin workshops for upcoming romantic drama: Report
After making his acting debut with Nadaaniyan, Ibrahim Ali Khan is now gearing up for a new romantic drama alongside Rasha Thadani, daughter of actor Raveena Tandon. The fresh on-screen pair has already begun preparations for the project, though the film’s title remains under wraps.
According to a Mid-Day report, both Ibrahim and Rasha have started reading sessions and workshops to prepare for the film, which is said to be a love story with a coming-of-age angle.
A source close to the development told the publication, “Ibrahim and Rasha have been doing reading sessions and workshops. The makers were clear that they didn’t want only a glamorous pair but two actors who could tap into the awkward, exhilarating energy of first love. Rasha and Ibrahim clicked from the first meeting.”
The film marks an important shift for Ibrahim, whose debut rom-com ‘Nadaaniyan’ opposite Khushi Kapoor faced sharp criticism for its writing and performances. Speaking about his evolving career graph, the source added, “While he debuted with a rom-com, Ibrahim will be seen in intense roles in ‘Sarzameen’ and ‘Diler’, which features him as a marathoner. After those two outings, this film with a coming-of-age arc will focus on the softer and more relatable side of him.”
Rasha Thadani, who recently made her debut in ‘Azaad’ alongside Ajay Devgn, Aaman Devgn, and Diana Penty, is also said to be fully invested in the project.
The pairing of two newcomers from film families has generated buzz, though there has been no official announcement or denial from the actors or the production team yet.
