Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Birthday Post for Sister Karisma Kapoor Is Full of Love
Kareena Kapoor Khan took to Instagram to shower her elder sister, Karisma Kapoor, with love and support on her 51st birthday. Karisma, a prominent actress of the ‘90s, was loved immensely for the roles she did as well as for her sartorial choices back then which were a hit. She featured in many successful films like Raja Hindustani, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Andaaz Apna Apna, Hum Saath Saath Hai which were big hits and loved by the audience.

Celebrating her elder sister’s special day, Kareena shared an image of Karisma alongside her husband, Saif Ali Khan, accompanied by an emotional caption, “This is my most favourite picture of you both. To the strongest and the bestest girl in the universe…It’s been a tough year for us…but you know what…as they say tough times don’t last…the toughest sisters do…To my sister, my mother, my best friend…Happy birthday my Lolo.”
Although, it might be a quiet birthday for the actress this year, who has been going through a tough time owing to her ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, passing away tragically due to a cardiac arrest at 51. His funeral took place on June 19 for which Karisma travelled to Delhi along with her kids Samaira and Kiaan. A prayer meet took place later, which also saw her in attendance, joined by Kareena and Saif.
Karisma and Sunjay had a divorce in 2016 with the former getting the custody of the kids while Sunjay was given visitation rights. Despite the separation, both Karisma and Sunjay remained on cordial terms with mutual respect being there between the two of them. In 2023, Sunjay had also dropped the birthday celebration pictures of his daughter Samaira, also featuring Karisma in it.
It’s indeed a tough time for Karisma, and Kareena chose to ease out some sadness with this wholesome birthday post, symbolizing the pure bond between the two sisters and the sheer support both give each other especially in emotionally challenging times like these.
