Jaideep Ahlawat roped in for Shah Rukh Khan’s King
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has confirmed his role in King, the upcoming action-thriller featuring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Siddharth Anand. In a recent interview, Ahlawat described his involvement, revealing that Shah Rukh personally ensured that his casting was made possible.
Director Siddharth Anand initially was hesitant to offer Ahlawat the role, viewing it as a less significant part following his much-praised performance in Jewel Thief. Ahlawat shared, “SRK sir had been thinking about this for quite some time…But Khan saab being Khan saab, he said, ‘I’ll talk to him.’ Now who could say no to him?”

The actor commended Shah Rukh Khan’s warmth and humility, recalling a prior interaction on the sets of Raees where the superstar consistently fostered a welcoming and appreciative environment. Jaideep recalled, “He’s a wonderful human being…Every time I’ve met him, he’s made me feel important.”
Currently in production, King represents another collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand, following the success of Pathaan. The film’s cast includes Suhana Khan and Saurabh Shukla. Although the complete cast list is pending official release, reports indicate the involvement of Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, and Anil Kapoor.

Jaideep Ahlawat’s most recent role was in Jewel Thief, where his portrayal of the antagonist was critically acclaimed and showcased his impressive acting range and surprising dance skills. He has also been a part of films like Gangs Of Wasseypur, Raazi, Commando, An Action Hero, Maharaj, and Jaane Jaan. His most notable work came in Paatal Lok as the much-loved character, Hathiram Chaudhary.
The release date for King remains to be unannounced and fans are eagerly awaiting more details about this star-studded movie that reportedly brings an ensemble cast together on the big screen alongside the father-daughter duo of Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan.
