International Yoga Day 2025: Take Notes About Fitness From Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa Shetty believes that while it may be natural for the body to feel sluggish, we should never give in to its demands completely. It is important to give your body enough rest, but we must not make it inactive. These positions strengthen the lower back, pelvic region, shoulders, arms, and hips.

She starts the day with yoga as it sets the tone for the rest of the day. A couple of years back, Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram to share, “Yoga adds years to your life and life to your years.” She mentioned that she believes this saying to be very accurate. She shared that she does the Eka pada Utkatasana (one-legged chair pose) and goes into Anjaneyasana (low lunge). These positions increase core strength and body balance while also strengthening the quadriceps and glutes.

The actress practices a different combination of asanas that focus on mind, body, and soul. She thinks that any routine can become boring when monotony sets in, which is why experimenting with something new helps. Shilpa also says that yoga prepares her mind, body and soul for a fantastic day ahead. She performs the Vrikshasana, followed by the Virabhadrasana III pose and also the Natrajasana pose. These poses strengthened her ankle joints, hips and legs while also improving balance, posture & flexibility, concentration & focus and mind-body coordination.
Shilpa Shetty sure knows what she is doing and does not mind imparting her wisdom to others.
