Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Living Away From The Limelight in Notting Hill?

Celebrated cricketer Virat Kohli has taken a deliberate step back from the limelight. He and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, have chosen a quieter life in Notting Hill, London. The couple is far removed from stadium cheers and media glare, even as India begins aTest series in England. 

According to reports, the couple relocated in 2024 after the birth of their younger child, seeking normalcy and peace, “wanted their kids to grow up away from the limelight and glamour of India,” shared Madhuri Dixit’s husband, Dr. Shriram Nene.

During a chat with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, Dr. Shriram Nene shared that Anushka Sharma had once confided in him about her desire to raise her children in a calmer, more grounded environment in London. The actress, he said, hoped to offer them a sense of normalcy away from the constant media spotlight. Dr. Nene, who also runs a health and wellness YouTube channel, spoke highly of Virat Kohli, expressing his admiration for the cricketer.

Kohli, now 36, also announced his retirement from Test cricket in May, describing his journey as “the quiet grind, the long days, the small moments that no one sees but that stay with you forever”. With Anushka delivering their second child in London earlier this year, the family has settled into a lifestyle that prioritizes privacy, away from paparazzi and travel fatigue on the subcontinent.

This move hasn’t gone unnoticed. After a heartbreaking rift with AB de Villiers when personal news about Anushka’s pregnancy surfaced in 2024, Kohli has kept his circle close and life uncluttered. He has said for years that his first priority has been family, and London has given him the space to be present-off the field and off camera.

He’s chosen presence over pressure, quality time over noise and calm over chaos. Living quietly in Notting Hill is the latest chapter of Anushka and Virat’s love-filled life.
