When and Where to Stream ‘We Were Liars’ Online for Free
It’s been one year since a mysterious accident left 17-year-old Cadence Sinclair with amnesia. Now, she returns to her family’s New England summer compound, determined to find answers. One problem: Everyone on the private island — three generations of the distinguished Sinclairs, Cadence’s childhood best friends, “The Liars,” and her first love, Gat — refuses to talk about last summer’s traumatic events.
Based on the 2014 psychological horror YA novel by E. Lockhart, We Were Liars streams exclusively on Amazon Prime Video beginning Wednesday, June 18. The season is comprised of eight-hour-long episodes. The Amazon series also pulls background information on its characters from the novel’s prequel, Family of Liars (2022).
Emily Alyn Lind stars as Cadence Sinclair, alongside Shubham Maheshwari, Esther McGregor, Joseph Zada, Caitlin FitzGerald, Mamie Gummer, Candice King, Rahul Kohli and David Morse.
