Directed by Ridley Scott, Gladiator II takes place 16 years after the death of Emperor Marcus Aurelius of Rome and follows Hanno (Paul Mescal), a former soldier-turned-slave who is forced into being a gladiator for the entertainment of Roman high society. However, when his owner Macrinus (Denzel Washington) becomes mad with seeking power, Hanno starts a revolution to return Rome to its former glory.

The film also stars Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi and others. It runs two hours and 28 minutes.
