Kannada star Shivarajkumar reveals he is now cancer free

Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar, son of legendary actor Rajkumar, shared an emotional video message on New Year’s Day announcing his recovery from bladder cancer. Speaking from the US, he expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support throughout his journey.

The actor revealed he underwent chemotherapy while shooting his latest film, 45 and even performed an intense climax fight scene during his treatment. His wife, Geetha Shivarajkumar, and daughter, Nivedita, supported him throughout his treatment in Miami, where he underwent surgery to replace his cancerous bladder with an artificial one constructed from his intestine.

Expressing his gratitude to Dr. Manohar, who treated him with great care, Shivarajkumar shared his confidence in being cancer-free. Geetha confirmed the same, stating that all medical reports were negative and thanked fans for their prayers, which she credited as pivotal in his recovery.

Shivarajkumar had initially disclosed his health struggles in November without sharing details. Reflecting on his emotional journey, he acknowledged the fear he faced but credited his fans’ love for easing the burden. The actor assured his return to work with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
