Ssunita Ahuja shuts down divorce rumours with Govinda: “Don’t assume anything”

Ssunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood star, Govinda, has addressed the ongoing rumours about trouble in their marriage. The speculation started after fans noticed that she had dropped Ahuja from her Instagram name, sparking a lot of curiosity online. 

With talk of a possible separation making headlines, Ssunita stepped in to clear the confusion. 

“I removed Ahuja and added an extra s in my first name. But this change happened almost a year ago,” she said. “It was done purely for numerology purposes. I want name and fame – who doesn’t right?” she joked. 

And it looks like the move caught everyone’s attention. When asked if it got her the kind of fame she wanted, Ssunita smiled and replied with a playful wink, “Absolutely! Can’t you see how viral I have gone in the last few months? I am all over the internet!” 

 Though she may have altered her name due to numerology, Ssunita firmly stated that it has no connection to her personal identity or marriage with Govinda. 

“I am an Ahuja, and that won’t change. The surname will only be dropped when I leave the world,” she said firmly. Ssunita also shut down all the divorce rumours completely. “We are a happy family. Until something comes directly from both of us, don’t assume anything,” she said, requesting the public not to draw their own conclusions without knowing the complete story. 

Govinda and Ssunita got married on March 11, 1987, and since then, they have supported each other through all the ups and downs of the film industry. They are parents to two children – daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja. Throughout their journey, Ssunita has always been Govinda’s strongest supporter, frequently praising his talent and the challenges he has faced in the evolving world of cinema.
