Anirudh Ravichander Shuts Down Wedding Rumours With Kavya Maran

Popular music director Anirudh Ravichander has put an end to all the buzz around his alleged relationship with Kavya Maran, the CEO of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and daughter of Kalanithi Maran, the chairman of Sun Group. The rumours started with a viral Reddit post that claimed Anirudh and Kavya were dating and might get married soon. The post even suggested that superstar Rajinikanth had spoken to Kalanithi Maran about their relationship, which added more fuel to the fire. Soon, the gossip made its way to social media and news portals.

But Anirudh was quick to clear the air. On June 14, he posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle: “Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys pls stop spreading rumours” With that one tweet, the 34-year-old composer made it clear that there’s no truth to the wedding news.

Anirudh is currently one of the top music composers in South Indian cinema, with back-to-back hits in both Tamil and Telugu films. He has worked with major stars like Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay, Ajith, Kamal Haasan, Mahesh Babu, and Jr NTR. He also made his Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Jawan, which featured some of the year’s biggest songs.

Right now, Anirudh is working on the music for The Paradise, a Telugu film starring Nani and directed by Srikanth Odela. The film is their second collaboration after Dasara, and fans are eager to hear what he brings to the table this time.

Earlier this year, Anirudh also appeared in a fun promo video for Jailer 2, alongside director Nelson Dilipkumar. In the clip, the two are seen vacationing in Goa before being ambushed, until Rajinikanth makes a surprise heroic entry. The film’s release date is yet to be revealed. While fans love Anirudh’s music and charm, it seems that for now, he’s focused on work, not wedding bells.
