Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Attends Sri Sathya Sai Centenary Celebrations

She paired it with heirloom high jewellery from Manish’s collection again. That’s not all! Her jewellery comprises over 500 carats of Mozambique rubies. It also features uncut diamonds in 18k gold and statement ruby-heavy rings.

In another appearance, Aishwarya wore “Heiress of Clam, a custom creation imagined in a draped form and spiritual detail.” The designer also noted that the enigmatic gown is hand embroidered. It featured abstract rendition of the cosmos in bursts of silver, gold, charcoal, and black. The same was accented with micro glass crystals to capture dimension and light.

The ensemble also featured a Banarasi brocade cape handwoven in Varanasi, India. Interestingly, it was inscribed with a Sanskrit shloka from the Bhagavad Gita. The shloka’s meaning stands as, “You have a right to perform your actions, but not to the fruits of those actions. Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction.”
