Kunal Kemmu Leads Family Comedy Series Single Papa Releasing This December

Single Papa is set to bring audiences a warm, funny and very relatable story on December 12. The comedy drama follows Gaurav Gehlot, also known as GG, played by Kunal Kemmu. GG is a sweet but slightly immature man who often behaves younger than his age. His life takes a surprising turn when, right after his divorce, he decides to adopt a baby. His family is completely shocked, wondering how a man who cannot keep track of his socks plans to raise a child. From this moment, a series of emotional and hilarious situations begin, showing the chaos and charm of a modern Indian household.

The show is created by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani, with Shashank Khaitan as executive producer. It is directed by Shashank Khaitan, Hitesh Kewalya and Neeraj Udhwani, and produced under the Juggernaut Productions banner. With a strong cast and a fresh concept, Single Papa aims to present parenting in a way that feels light, real and rooted in everyday life.

Talking about the project, showrunner Shashank Khaitan said, “I am so excited to create a family entertainer again. Single Papa is full of heart, laughter and a lot of fun. Working with this amazing team has been wonderful, and I can’t wait for audiences to enter this colourful world of an unexpected father and a tiny baby who steals every scene.”

Kunal Kemmu shared his own experience playing GG, saying, “This role made me smile, laugh and even tear up at times. Parenting is not perfect, but it is full of love and learning. I hope audiences enjoy GG’s journey as much as I enjoyed playing him.”

Single Papa also features Manoj Pahwa, Ayesha Raza and Prajakta Koli, who bring their own charm to the story. The series will stream from December 12 on Netflix.
