Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra Goes on Floors, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in Leading Roles

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s looks intense as a police inspector while Kareena Kapoor Khan looks fierce. Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a video from her first day at shoot. She captioned the post as, “Day 1 68th film. Daayra with the most amazing @meghnagulzar and @therealprithvi …Send love and blessings.” Neha Dhupia, Karisma Kapoor and more have congratulated the actress for working on her 68th movie. She was last seen in Singham Again, alongside Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and others.

Daayra unites Junglee Pictures with Pen Studios, led by Dr. Jayantilal Gada. While Junglee Pictures is known for backing Raazi, Talvar, Badhaai Do and more, Pen Studios has been associated with RRR, Gangubai Kathiawadi and more projects. Together, they are poised to present Daayra on a wide canvas. Junglee re-unites with Meghna Gulzar for the third time for Daayra.

The movie has been co-written by Yash and Sima alongside Meghna. It delves deep into the age-old paradox of crime, punishment and justice. Daayra is set to release in 2026. The final release date and details about the ensemble cast have been kept under the wraps.
