Param Sundari Trailer: Janhvi Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra Star in a Cross-cultural Rom-com
Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films have released the much-awaited trailer for Param Sundari, a romantic comedy featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra, and directed by Tushar Jalota. Slated for release on August 29, the film explores a love story that surpasses geographical, linguistic, and cultural differences.
Filmed amidst the beautiful scenery of Kerala, the trailer shows the authentic blend of rain-soaked roads, leisurely backwater bike rides, and the architectural splendour of ancient churches, including a thrilling scene based on the classic romance of the much-loved pair, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

The trailer shows the story of a Delhi-based boy, played by Sidharth Malhotra, and a young woman from Kerala, played by Janhvi Kapoor. Their different backgrounds create comic situations, dramatic moments, and a blossoming romance as they navigate their relationship.
Janhvi Kapoor offered her perspective on the film, mentioning, “Sundari is deeply personal to me. Her grace, quiet strength, and love for her roots resonate with my own South Indian heritage. Shooting in Kerala, surrounded by such beauty, I felt an emotional connection to her world that I hope the audience will feel too.”

Sidharth Malhotra said, “With Param Sundari, I feel like I’m revisiting the kind of romance I grew up loving but telling it in a way that feels fresh and relatable. Param has that Delhi boy charm, with a love story that makes you cross worlds. We wanted it to look as beautiful as it feels, and Kerala’s magic really made that happen. I hope the audience feels the same warmth and joy we felt while making it.”
Director Tushar Jalota added, “Param Sundari is a celebration of differences – the way two distinct worlds can collide and yet create something beautiful together. Kerala gave us a visual palette that feels timeless, and the story gave us the emotional depth to match it. The trailer is just a glimpse of the journey.”
The music, composed by Sachin–Jigar with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, is expected to be an integral element of the film’s narrative, , with the song, Pardesiya, already proving popular among fans, and the monsoon-themed song Bheegi Saree generating considerable excitement.
