CBFC Cuts Action Sequences and Bikini Shots From War 2?

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is seemingly making changes in Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani and Jr NTR starrer War 2. The Ayan Mukerji directed movie is set to be released on August 14, 2025. Social media users are currently conversing about speculations of major scenes being removed from the movie. The CBFC is said to have removed a bikini scene featuring Kiara and major action scenes between Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan.

The runtime was initially locked at 179 minutes. A new censor certificate will seemingly be issued as 6 minutes and 25 seconds of total footage will be removed from the film. Interestingly, most of the climax scenes are also being removed, which isn’t sitting right with fans.

The makers recently organised a pre-release event of the movie. Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR took the stage to interact with their fans. During the interactions, Hrithik Roshan opened up about the movie and his experience working with Jr NTR. He said, “I see a lot of myself in Tarak (Jr NTR). We have had very similar journeys for 25 years and I think Tarak sees a little bit of himself in me as well.” Calling Hrithik ‘India’s best dancer’, Jr NTR reciprocated the love and admiration.

The trailer for the movie was released on July 25. It is filled with action-packed scenes between Hrithik and Jr NTR. Ashutosh Rana calls their characters soldiers, emphasising on them fighting a war. The two characters also confess keeping India first, hinting at a rivalry that stems from the love they have for their country. Kiara Advani is seen in romantic scenes with Hrithik, as well as in scenes where she flaunts a uniform and a bikini. Kiara’s bikini-clad sequence became quite popular after the release of the movie’s teaser some time back. Interestingly, the trailer shows the perfect amalgamation of action, romance and other intense emotions.
