‘Family Guy’ Books Second Set of Halloween, Holiday Specials at Hulu

The Griffin family will celebrate Halloween and the winter holidays with two more Family Guy specials on Hulu.

The Disney-owned streamer will be the exclusive home for the two episodes, which will stream before Family Guy begins its 24th season on Fox in 2026. The two shows will be the second set of Hulu-exclusive specials, following Halloween and Christmas editions last year.

The Halloween special, titled “A Little Fright Music,” is set to premiere Oct. 6. In the episode, Brian and Stewie realize there aren’t many quality Halloween songs, so they set out to write a hit. Peter and the guys, meanwhile, discover that lying about trick or treating can have deadly consequences.

Details and a premiere date for the holiday special will be announced later. News of the two specials was announced Saturday during Family Guy’s Comic-Con session.

Family Guy is heading into a massive four-season pickup at Fox, which will take the show through its 27th season in 2028-29. Creator Seth MacFarlane’s American Dad! is also returning to Fox after a decade at TBS, and the network also renewed The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers for four additional seasons. All four shows are produced by 20th Television Animation.

MacFarlane executive produces Family Guy with showrunners Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin, Steve Callaghan, Tom Devanney, Danny Smith, Kara Vallow, Mark Hentemann, Patrick Meighan and Alex Carter.
