Telugu Actor Fish Venkat Passes Away at 53

Popular Telugu actor Fish Venkat, whose official name is Venkat Raj, passed away at a private hospital on Friday following a prolonged battle with kidney-related ailments. He was 53 years old. His family had sought medical care for him at the hospital a few days prior, as his kidney condition had unfortunately deteriorated, ultimately leading to complete kidney failure.

Recently, it was mentioned by Fish Venkat’s daughter that the doctors had advised a kidney transplant, but the family was facing financial difficulties in covering the costs of this medical procedure. In a video statement, she said, “Daddy is not well and in a serious condition. He’s been kept in the ICU. He requires a kidney transplant, which will cost us at least Rs. 50 lakh.” It is reported that actors such asPawan Kalyan and Vishwak Sen had offered financial assistance to Venkat’s family.

The actor, who hails from Hyderabad, started his acting journey in Tollywood during the early 2000s, initially appearing in a minor role in the film Kushi. He gained recognition for his exceptional comic timing and captivating performances. Throughout the years, he achieved widespread fame for his roles in films such as Bunny, Adhurs, Dhee, and Mirapakay. He was frequently seen portraying characters with a genuine Telangana accent. 

The Telugu film industry and his fans are deeply saddened by his passing. Numerous fans and celebrities from the Telugu film industry have expressed their grief and shared cherished memories of the late actor on social media.

Fish Venkat’s contributions to Tollywood comedy will forever be remembered. He brought immense joy and laughter to many through his work, and his absence will be profoundly felt. Venkat is now survived by his wife, Suvarna, and daughter, Sravanthi. His recent work included roles in Slum Dog Husband, Narakasura, and Coffee with a Killer.
